"Vacation"

Scott boys.
My swim lesson, James, went on vacation last week. Every morning he would wake up and say, "VACATION". Here are the boys doing the same thing.
Below is Andy...he tried to pick up Atheni at the Grand Buffet. We did get free diet cokes.

We finally made it back to Oklahoma after what seemed like the LONGEST morning ever. We still managed to get home by noon, but felt like midnight.We had been up since 3am (central time). Have no fear, I slept all day and only got up to pick up my baby boy, Charlie.

Our friends Kyle and Atheni spent the week with us in Florida. It was nice to catch up with them. I think a good time was had by all.

Top Secret!

For one of our wedding gifts we got the Weigel family chocolate chip 'secret' recipe. I finally got around to making them. I'm going to need some practice before I perfect them.

1st batch...did not bake long enough. Notice the cookie that went through the cooling rack. (I ate it of course).

2nd batch...cooked way to long. (I'm embarrassed!)



3 batch...I got just right! I guess third time really is a charm.


*Note: Charlie some how got up on the counter and ate 4 cookies. I could kill him. Why did he not eat the burnt ones? ugh! Well, I'm sure this will be a high vet bill for us. Because knowing Charlie he will get something crazy that will probably cost us an arm and leg.

ahhhhhhhhhhh, just another day in the life.....(of Charlie)! :)

update

Wow, it has been a while since I last posted. We have been pretty busy here at the Scott household. I can't believe it is already the middle of July. Where has the time gone? This past Monday I had an interview at 6:30am (You read that correctly A.M.). This was by far the earliest I have ever had an interview. It was at Chesapeake Energy's Fitness Center. They had a spot open for their Kids Corner and needed some help "with other projects". The interview went well and I just found out that I got the job! And it is national Ice cream day! What better day? Anyways, the projects I will be helping out with involve mainly the youth program that they put on. They do sooooo many different things for the kids. I get the help plan, promote, and attend all of these functions. Just to give you an example they do father/daughter banquets, mother daughter/son lunch, Kids Mania, Spa day, etc. I will be assisting Kary with all of these events. I am just so excited!!! I have been trying for a year to get on here and it finally happened!!!!

Real quick...I just want to share a funny story with you. Yesterday at work I had a very friendly little old man come in for his assessment. We got to talking and he asked me all about my background. We talked for a good 5 minutes about me. Then he goes, "I was the CEO for Integris for 23 years. I just retired this year." Ok in my mind this is what I thought, "Oh my gosh, what do i do? what do I say? I should have know that was him. I had a test over it..ugh!!!" So, this is what i blurted out of my mouth. "Well are you having a big retirement party?" REALLY AMANDA!!! ONLY ME! And if your wondering..whether or not he had one ...he did. But his birthday is next week and he and his wife will be going to NY to see some shows.

Next week is vacation. I cannot wait!!!
