Camp Bow Wow

Charlie had his interview at Camp Bow Wow this morning. He got to play in a huge room that was open to the outside all morning. He did such a good job. This is where he will be staying while we make the trip to KY this weekend. Once we got home he slept ALL DAY. Here is a picture of his certificate which is hanging on the fridge. Such a proud mom. I have come to terms that I am "that person" who treats her dog like a kid and I don't care.

Our new House!

Also over the weekend Brian and I bought a house. We are so excited. But I do have to admit that this whole process is very stressful. Click HERE to view pictures of our new home.

Note...all the designs in the kitchen on the tile will GO! What were these people thinking?

"Hot Topics"

This weekend I flew up to Indianapolis for my sister, Kim's, Bachorlette party. The theme for this week was "Rock Star". Why you might ask? While on family vacation Kim got to talk to some Willie Nelson look a like at a local restaurant. She informed him that she was the lead singer and guitarist for a band named "Hot Topics" and that she played at a local venue called the Plaza Lounge (redneck bar in Morehead, KY). This story has stuck with her and anywhere we go she makes it know that she is in a "band". At my Bach. party in Nashville, she told actual bands that she too was a singer/guitarist. The last night Kim was unable to go out, but we ended up going to the same bar as the band Kim had lied too. They found us and told us to bring the girl from "Hot Topics" up and that they would let her have a solo on stage. HAHAHA....So, long story short..The theme was "Hot Topics".

Here are some pictures from this weekend...

Any man of mine!!

Here is my theme song for this blog.

Today has been one of those days for me. I was driving all over the place, taking wrong turns even with the GPS, some how made it to what seemed like EVERY detour possible. Needless to say my anger level was very high. I'm seriously ready to give up on the job search. I have started filling out my application to Oklahoma University. I was informed by Brian that we are Oklahoma State fans not OU fans..my bad! Really we are just UK fans! Good thing I couldn't careless. haha! Tonight I attempted once again to make green beans like Brian's Granddad...they kinda tasted like his, but not really. We decided to pan fry some chicken. This is where my song comes in..."when i burn it BLACK he better say, I like it like that!" We were sitting at the dinner table and Brian goes "It's like blackened chicken, manny." I'm going to take that as a compliment even though that was not what I was going for..but I will take it! I love blackened chicken! :)

Side note: We are going tomorrow to meet with the real estate agent to look at some houses. I am pretty excited. We are still not sure we want to buy, but it will be fun looking. Charlie is in desperate need of his shot...he is not eating like he should and has been very lazy. Luckily he goes tomorrow to get it and surely he will start to feel better!

Alice Weaver and her friend that is a boy, not her bf she says, are coming to the GA game here in Oklahoma. They will be staying with us Saturday night. It's been so nice to actually have people from home come visit us and we have only been here a month!

I was in a wedding this past week and it was nice to get to come home and see everyone. The wedding was beautiful and the weather was PERFECT! But the dress on the other hand....is a different story. On the label of this dress it should read, "If you are big busted, have thunder thighs, and a ghetto butt, do not wear." I would post a picture but too embarrassed and there are plenty on facebook. The bride still really liked the dresses but hated that they were super uncomfortable for everyone and very revealing for two of us! Oh well, it will be something to laugh at years from now...right?

Desperate Housewives of OKC

The job search is awful. I am ready to give up. I have found that since I am mostly by myself through out the day that sometimes it's nice to have someone to talk to other than Charlie. So, I find my self talking to anyone I can. I was in the locker room last week and the Today Show was blaring on TV. They were showing "in style" clothes for kids to wear. This girl came out with a short skirt on and I made the comment to the lady fixing her hair that I would never send my kid to school looking like that. We got to talking and one thing lead to another and she told me that I should join their workout group. They meet Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 9am-10am. She went on to say that they call themselves the "desperate housewives of okc". Most of the ladies in this class are stay at home moms and I have no found out that I am the only one without a kid. Which is fine by me. Although they claim that give it two months and I will be pregnant...but I beg to differ..hahaha I guess we will see. Anyways, they also meet up for lunch and do other fun things as well. So far I love it! On Friday we are rock climbing and I am really excited about that!!!

I am planning on taking a cake decorating class and my friend Karla is going to take it with me.
Should be a lot of fun!
