Burrito...yes that is it.

I have come to the realization that I am my mothers daughter. Actually, all 5 of us could probably be referred to as Janet Alderman. On that note, let me tell you what I did at La Fincas while in Morehead.

I was handed the menu and decided to go with something other than my normal Fajitas. The waiter was making his way towards me and I felt a sense of panic...what are those things called? not a quesadilla....maybe a burrito? Yeah, that is it. I'm next!

Me: I will take 2 chicken burritos and 1 bean burrito.
Waiter: You mean 1 chicken and 1 bean burrito?
Me: No, ya know (insert hand gestures of spreading cheese and a few for vegetables) like 2 chicken burritos with cheese and veggies? And a bean burrito with that cheese sauce?

Waiter writes this down and he moves on down the line.

When Allie got her food, I thought OH NO! I ordered the wrong thing.

Me: Allie what is that thing called?
Allie: Enchilada?
Me: Oh my gosh, I ordered three burritos.

Burritos at La Fincas are HUGE!

Meanwhile, the sever is behind me asking who got "2 chicken burritos". I raised my hand and once I responded that the bean burrito was mine as well...his response was "all of it?"

YES!!

I had two plates all to myself with three burritos...next time I think (I hope) I will be able to remember the difference between a burrito and enchilada.

until next time...

p.s. I got 15 new dry-fit workout t-shirts and 4 new workout jackets. These are my uniforms. I think I died and went to heaven yesterday once i was handed these lovely things. Ahhhhh life is good!

Baby Shower!

This past week we headed to Kentucky for my sisters baby shower. It was a fun filled weekend. I hit up all my favorite local restaurants--Fuzzy Duck, Pasquales, and La Fincas. I was also able to meet up with some friends and catch up! The trip was not quite long enough, but I'm not complaining.

I also had time to make my delish cupcakes! Here is a picture of Pete enjoying one!

Cute little belly! I can't wait to meet little Hudson Chase!

Ahhhhh!!!

Above is the old tile... and below is the new! I love it!

Stuck.

On Wednesday and Friday's I train for 30 minutes with Mark. These session are the most intense 30 minutes of my life. It's a love/hate relationship. After my training sessions I have exactly 18 minutes to shower, get dressed, and be in my office. So, it's like I get a 48 minute workout. I swear I NEVER stop sweating.

Yesterday, was no different. I rushed through my shower and pushed the glass door to get out. It was stuck. There is a wood thing (if you will) that you step on once you get out. I thought to myself-- no big deal, I will just move it to where I can get out. I realized that was not going to work. It was stuck between the the trash can on one side and the wall on the other. So, the only LOGICAL thing I could think to do was throw something at the trash can. I grabbed the face wash and tossed it. I hit the the trash can, but not hard enough. Now I am panicking. Oh my gosh, I'm going to have to yell out and have someone help me out of the shower. OH MY GOSH! In the girls locker room at CHK, I spoke in my outside voice and said, "UMMM.., is anyone in here? I need help out of the shower!" I hear a response, "WHAT?". (just kill me.) I have to REPEAT myself, which I hate to do. I told her that I had my towel on, but that the door was stuck. She opened the curtain, picked up the wood panel and SAVED me! Thank GOD!

I later told my boss, Kary, about it she started dying laughing. Her response was, "Amanda, you can pull the door both ways. You can push it out, or PULL IT TOWARDS YOU!"

Only me, only me. I decided to blame it on my trainer Mark because I still was not recovered from my training session and therefore, could not think logically. ha!

100 degrees plus!

We have not had any rain for going on 3 weeks. Our trees, plants, and grass are either burning or just dead. I have decided that next year I will only plant things that won't die. So, if anyone has any suggestions please let me know, otherwise I will just let the weeds take over.

This past Sunday we had some friends over for BLTs, corn on the cob, and homemade peach ice cream. Our farmers market is amazing here and we picked up all the main "fresh" ingredients there for our little get together. I didn't capture enough pictures, but here is one of Brian and James making Peach ice cream.

Update: Just a few things.

My job is amazing! I love it. :)

I'm thinking about painting my kitchen green.

I want to get the awful bunnies/carrots out of my kitchen. Going to call some people and get a quote...fingers crossed!
