Play date!

Today Charlie and I went over to my friend Bethany's for a little walk and swim.

Charlie has not figured out what "sharing" means. All sticks and balls are his...so he thinks.

Thank god for my iphone to capture these moments!!! :)

Enjoy!

Intro to Gardening

Today Ann and I tackled our front yard. It was in some serious need of landscaping. After 4-5 hours and me mowing the lawn (2nd time ever). We had a finish product! Tomorrow, I may just get a lawn chair, sit it on the sidewalk, and stare at my front yard. That is how good it looks. Big thanks to Ann!!

Mother-in-law lesson 1!

This weekend a few of us headed out to Keeneland for a little fun in the sun. On Saturday they had a near record of 34,000 plus people. Hence why none of us even bothered to go in to catch a race. I think we ended up having to park at the airport. We were so far away! And only one bathroom within walking distance. Instead I remembered a good ole trick Ann once taught me. Only her example was if you are on the interstate with no rest rooms, just pull over open both doors on one side. The girls sit on the little rubber thing and let it fly!!!! Well, I was not on an interstate, but rather at Keeneland with 34,000 other people.

I was not arrested, nor do I think anyone saw me.

If I knew how to crop this picture I would because it's a little risque. So, Brian when you read this blog tonight please crop!

haha!

Socks?

In my rush to pack for my trip to Kentucky, I made sure to pack a lot of socks. I always do this because I know that whenever I come home two things are for sure to happen. First never expect to sleep in...won't happen. Second your socks will DISAPPEAR! This sock ordeal blows my mind. And it has for years. My suitcase and dirty close are all in one room in one corner. When I get out of the shower and change clothes it is all in that corner. I wash my own clothes fold them and put them up. I am down to ONE pair of socks and they are bright pink running socks. SERIOUSLY?

Looks like a trip to Wal-Mart is in my future.

Update:

My sister gets to leave the hospital today April 8, 2010. After nearly a month in the hospital and experiencing one of the hardest things in her life she gets to go home. Now will start her journey of recovering. Please keep her in your prayers for a speedy recovery. I admire her strength for what she has been through. And I know I speak for all sisters that we are proud of her and proud to be her sisters.

Josey Starr Murphy

I would just like to dedicate this blog posting to all of those who sent prayers our way throughout the last 3 weeks. It has been an emotional, physical, and mental roller coaster ride. My sister is such a strong strong girl. At 12:26am April 6, 2010 Josey Starr was born. She weighed 1lb 1oz. Unfortunately, she had passed away before she was delivered. By the looks of Josey she had stopped growing several weeks ago. We were guessing she was the size of a 20-21 week baby. She was very under developed, but perfect in our eyes. We each held her and looked her all over. She was perfect. We are forever grateful to have gotten to hold and meet our little niece, Josey.

My sister goes for a DNC this morning. Hopefully things will get moving so that she can head home. Although this part has passed, we now head into the grieving process. I hope that you would keep my sister and her husband in your prayers as they try to move forward.

On a side note we got home around 4 this morning. And have no fear Carmen was practicing piano at 7:30 this morning.
