In "breaking" news....

This afternoon Brian took Charlie outside to use the bathroom. They were racing back to the door when Charlie some how got underneath of Brian and tripped him and he landed on Charlie. Charlie was yelping so loud that it caught my attention from the apartment and all of our neighbors as well. We rushed him to the vet where they confirmed that he had broken all four metatarsals on his right front paw. It was to severe to actually put a splint on it without making it worse. So, we were sent home with some pain medication and were told to use benadryl if we need to help him sleep. We hope to get him into surgery tomorrow! We will keep you updated!

This is how we will spend our night...holding our little boy!

Shower time!

I have told myself from the beginning that I would not worry, stress and/or get upset about planning my wedding...at least not till after the shower. Some might wonder, why the shower? Well, once your wedding shower rolls around that means the wedding is just around the corner. Sure enough I have allowed myself to start getting majorly stressed. As of yesterday I had still not picked out my Jr. Bridesmaids dresses. Thank God I found them today for just $30. As of today, we have still not picked out the tuxedos that the boys will be wearing, the shoes for my bridesmaids, thank you gifts for the wedding party (I only lack 3 people. Brian has not started)...Well that is all I can think right now. It's stressing so I will just push it aside.

My shower is this weekend I am so excited and so thankful for all 17 people who are putting this on for Brian and I. I know it will be wonderful! My last day of work will be April 24, which is actually setting in and I'm getting very sad. We move out of our Apartment May 1 and head back to Morehead...where I will move in with my parents for the last time. Then it's MY WEDDING the day that I've waited for for a long time! Honeymoon...then move in with the in-laws. Now how romatic is that? haha! Then in July we make the trip down south and west to Oklahoma City, which will be our new home!

But have no worries those of you who will miss me terribly I will be flying back in July, August, and October for 3 weddings that I will be in. I am so excited, but I'm sure I will be sick of flying! :)

Charlie...

I wonder what is going through Charlies head when he does crazy things! The lastest thing is kicking off all of the cushions on the couch. It was cute at first but now it's annoying!

Forced Family Fun...and Pictures!

This past week my family and I traveled to Cocoa Beach, Florida for spring break. We decided that it would be nice to get one last family vacation in with just "the girls" and dad of course before everyone else ends up getting married and moving away...ok maybe I'm the only one moving away. Before we left everyone came to the realization that we will all probably get on each others nerves and we decided to do our best to not be drama queens because that can happen with a house full of girls.

Surprising enough everyone actually got a long great. Nothing unusual happened, it was just like living at home again.

Abby- Still not a good idea to talk to in the morning, speaks her mind whether you want to hear it or not, has big plans to run with me everyday (only did once), likes to tan and not get in the water!

Kim- Easy going, loud laugh, still gets water every where once she gets out of the shower, likes to sing karaoke.

Sissy (Kerry)- Takes forever to dry and straighten her hair, reads a lot, gets migraines all the time (that sucks), laid back.

Me- Perfect! ha J/K I'm probably an annoying morning person (like my dad) Abby LOVES it! Working out is still an essential part of my day, I do a lot of something but will not tell what (they all know what that is. ha!), wear tons of sunscreen but still manage to get burnt in random spots, love riding the waves, and of course love sweets!

Dad- Stubborn, reads A LOT (he just got the new Kindle), he really is an annoying morning person, eats your left overs from the night before even though you have your name written on it, walks early in the mornings, and he thinks he knows it all.

Mom- Still gets emotional about all her girls, ask too many questions about whats going on in movies even though we have watched just as much as she has, amazing cooking (even though she thinks "it just does not taste right to me"), could lay in the sun forever!

Carmen- Is so big...we all feel so old! She was great on this trip! She loved wearing our clothes, earrings, perfume whatever she could get her hands on. She loves the water and the sand! She was great on our trip!

My aunt RaRa, Uncle DaDa, and Lauren Razor all came down as well and stayed with us! We had a great time! The weather was perfect. We could have not asked for a better week with family and friends!

Here are some pictures from our trip!

It's my (our) birthday!

I love birthdays...and especially my own. The morning of my birthday I was walking out of the bathroom when all I see were TONS (23) of candles burning, and Brian singing happy birthday. I couldn't help but wonder what in the world he had the candles stuck down into. Reminder-no chocolate and no ice cream for me. After his lovely rendition of Happy Birthday and my excitement of the realization "it's my birthday" I figured out what it was...Cinnamon rolls and man did they look amazing. Tons of cream cheese icing just the way I like them. I knew this was going to be a great day! I was so excited! I also go a new running watch which is something I've been wanting for a long time. Overall, I had a great birthday. Abby and I ended the night with about 20 of my friends at Old Chicago Pizza!!!

I also want to mention it was 75 degrees which made the day even better!

Team Amanda Lent '09

I have been challenged to give up Chocolate and Ice cream during lent. For those of you who are not aware of my love for those two things...let me fill you in. Every night I have a bowl of ice cream that usually has some form of chocolate in it. Making brownies and/or cookies once a week is not uncommon for me either and eating 3/4 of it is all too common. Needless to say, this is a pretty good challenge and one that will be very difficult. So far I have made it a week and feel like I'm doing very well. My birthday is next Tuesday (hint hint) and I normally get an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen. But it does not look that way this year! :( This will be the hardest part of the 40 days.

Kyle, the challenger, has already lost. He claims it's not a competition but it is. He has given up a number of things..the list is too long and he has already changed his mind after Lent had already started...I guess he just could not sacrifice.

I will keep you all updated throughout my journey over the next couple of weeks.
