Clarification

For those of who were at the wedding and were wondering why I, the bride, chased after my own bouquet after I tossed it up...I have a very good reason. I decided that I wanted Lehne to catch it. She was all the way in the back to the left. In a spot that sceamed out " I DO NOT WANT THE BOUQUET". So, I thought it would be really funny to for her to catch it. This was my game plan... throw it real high and it would get to her.But it hit the ceiling and came straight down. The next thing I know I was on the floor with my sister, Kim, who is engaged and Brandy who is technically the only one who had every right to be on the floor (Kim caught it.). I wanted a redo on my bouquet toss. So, that's excatly what I did. It's my day, right?

Lehne did not catch it.

Another blog post to come about the wedding and honeymoon...overall it was the best days of our lives! Thanks to all of those who came to the wedding!

6 days and counting!

I sit. I listen? I stare out while slightly nodding my head in the "Yes" motion to the people asking "Have you done this...Have you done that...You need to do this now..." Let me go a head and put this out there for all of our blog readers--I just care about getting married. So my answer to the questions above should probably be no. Now my wedding is still going to be beautiful, but I'm to the point I am overwhelmed and really don't know which way to turn. So, instead I decided to blog.

Here are just some of my thoughts..

Well, we are 6 days away from the Big Day! I can't wait. I have been currently coming up with a song list for our reception. If anyone has any request please let us know!

Charlie has WORN me OUT! Bless his heart he puked all in the car it went down underneath my seat right before a party my family was throwing me. It happens, right? He will be visiting the Tin Woof Inn in the next couple of days where I am sure he will have a great time.

I had planned to work on my tan starting in May but it has rained EVERYDAY! So, I'm over it. My sisters insist I get a spray tan, but doubt that will happen.

I planned to go on a diet all the month of May...ate more chocolate than ever. Typical!

Just called Brian to make sure I should use "than" in the sentence above and he informed me his alarm would be going off in 4 minutes. Guess he didn't want to talk?!

Last night I stayed up 'til after midnight watching Lifetime movies. For those of you who don't know me that well I normally go to bed around 8:55-9 every night.

My phone only works when it wants too. I don't know if that is a good thing or bad thing at this time? My next big purchase, when I get a job of course, is to get a new phone.

until next time...
See you at the wedding!

Moving home

It has been a week today since I have moved home. I have surprisingly enjoyed it. I think it's because I know I will be moving 13 hours away in a short time. Let me enlighten you with how a normal day goes in the Alderman household.

I stay in Carmen's room surrounded by Hannah Montana and a million stuffed animals.

6:45 mom barges in trying to find Carmen something to wear while complaining that my dad puts her clothes up in no order..."but I won't complain because he does wash her clothes". For some reason I think mom forgets for the 15 minutes of looking that I am sleeping and in no mood to have conversation. I just agree with whatever she says.
-I will have to take my dads side that he just hangs everything up and all Carmen's socks etc. are in the top drawer. But whose looking??

7:00 Get up! Carmen has already made it into her room to talk to me and ask what I will be doing today and whether or not I will be home when she gets back from school.

7:15 Pour a bowl of cereal just to find out that there is no milk. This is one thing that drives me INSANE!

7:16 eating dry cereal watching the TODAY show.

8:00 Everyone is gone!!!! RELAX.

but only till...
8:15 Mom calling me asking me to do 100 different things. This in turn consumes my whole day.

But honestly I wouldn't have it any other way. I am enjoying the time here with my friends and family.

The evenings around here are not too bad. Carmen reads to me from her AR book and explains to me how to correctly sound out letters and words. I didn't know I was in the 2nd grade again.

Bobbi, my cousin, is getting ready to graduate college after 33 years (she found out she only need 15 hours to complete her degree) so I have been helping her type papers and do math.

Then it's off to bed!

I know all of you are jealous as you should be!

Brian is currently back in Lexington working on his thesis and staying with Kyle. I would like to be a fly on the wall when they are together because when I am with them they come up and talk about the most absurd things...I can only imagine what they talk about when I'm not there. Maybe I don't want to know. Either way I'm sure that one or both of them will come up with some awful idea that they want to do for the wedding.

Just for the record...there will be no facial hair at the wedding.

Wedding Music!

For all those that will be able to make the wedding, I have a favor to ask of you. If anyone has a request for certain songs or types of music they would like played during the reception, please either put them in the comments here, or email Amanda or I. We are having a band play (they play mostly rock and roll) and I am going to give a list of songs to them that we would like played. If they can't play it, we can get it and have it played when the band is on break. So basically any song that you enjoy dancing to, let us know.
