Tuesday.
Charlie has had a great couple days hanging out with my family. He had someone (Carmen) who would throw sticks, balls, bones, whatever he would bring to her, she would toss. He got to taste steak and chicken for the first time. He also stole my dads turkey sandwich. He enjoyed sticking his nose into everything new. He found all kinds of fun things in my moms purse. I decided that he and Carmen are a lot of like. They have to check everything out. I'm pretty sure Carmen when through every thing possible in my house. She went home with a bottle of lotion, spray and perfume. We had a great time and were so happy that my family got to come down and see where we live and expierence life in Oklahoma. I took this picture this morning. I think Charlie will sleep for the next couple of days.

Flash Flood.
The first year of living in Oklahoma sure has been a crazy one. We have had blizzards, Ice storms, Tornadoes, and now floods. Luckily our backyard was the only thing that flooded. Up two miles from us is a different story. This is a picture of Brian's work. Luckily, he made it in before it got this bad. Let's just hope he can get home.

Charlie
Charlie has gotten into a bad habit of jumping up on the counter. On Friday night he found some seasoned raw chicken and tonight he decided to try out steak. My dad yells from the other room, " Janet, did you get Charlie a steak too?" hahaha. Luckily he was only interested in the fatty part of it. So, I know this is gross but I washed it off, cut off the part he chewed on and re-seasoned it. I figured Brian always gets the food that was dropped in the floor at the Fuzzy Duck...how is this any different??? Excluding the dog chewing on part of it. :)

Day 2
Today was a "girls" day out! Mom, Carmen, Rara and I all ventured out to the mall and several other places around the city. I personally had a successful day of shopping. I found pants and shorts that fit. I can now stop looking for "huskie" clothing. Brian and I pity our kids because they have no hope to be small and petite. They will have thunder thighs for sure and lots of muscle! hehe. We have shopped until we dropped! Time to watch Avatar and snack on the dozen "cupcakes to go go" that we got today!

DAY 1
Well my family has arrived safe and sound. We have had a fun filled day. It's so nice to have them here. This morning Carmen went with me to take Charlie to his vet appointment where she picked up 20 (literally) "Hey Firefighter save my animal" stickers. These are the ones you to post on your front door/window. I had her fill out the sticker and stick it on my front door. As pictured below! :)
I don't think the firefighters can miss it! On our drive around Edmond, Carmen saw a Starbucks and goes "Oh, I didn't know you had those here?"???!!!???? My response, "we sure do!"
We ventured downtown and visited the Oklahoma Memorial. Checked out CHK. And tried out a local bakery.
We traveled to POPS a local favorite restaurant/gas station/convenience store. Carmen had a great time picking out some new pops to taste!
The joys of having a younger sister. I only had to pay $1 for a 5 minute massage. wooohoo! There is more where that came from!
I have realized that Carmen is a 30 year old women in a 9 year old body. Please check out the picture below.
Hi! I'm Carmen and I'm 50 years old with my phone clip. :) (dad bought her the clip today.)

Company.
Tonight my parents, cousin and aunt should be arriving in Edmond. I am so excited. I have cleaned my house, washed my sheets and stocked the fridge. The last time my dad came out he claimed that I "starved" him to death. So, this time I want to make sure that they are all well fed. If all else fails, we will just go out to eat. I went to the store today to pick up a few things. Of course I wanted to get things that they like...I mean they are my guest and all. I got cookies, choc. chip granola bars, funfetti cake, vanilla icing, baked lays just to name a few. I realized those are all MY favorite things. Classic amanda! I may have gotten a few things they like...turkey, chicken, vegetables. I guess we will see!
Will post pictures from our extended weekend with the Alderman's!

Sweat
This morning was my first schedule appointments for fitness assessments. I am traveling all over the metro to conduct these assessments for Integris Health. I got to my tiny little room and set up my station. I guess I was the lucky one who got a room with no air flow at ALL. For those of you who know me, know i sweat a lot. This was no different. It was so bad that I had to hold on to a tissue to wipe my face down so that it would not fall onto the patients. It got so bad that one of the patients told the manager to turn the air on or get a fan. I was so embarrassed. But thank God for the fan. It took me a good 30 minutes to finally cool down and stop sweating with the fan blowing on me.
I have decided that I may need to carry a fan with me to all my locations. And wear a black shirt so it is not so noticeable.
